Wim Michiels

After working for more than a decade in different operations management functions in the nuclear power station of Doel (Belgium), in 2002 Wim became responsible for the engineering projects of the high voltage grid.

From 2006, Wim was a Senior Manager for Operational Planning and System Operation of the high voltage grid of Elia, the Belgian System Operator.

Since 2014, Wim has been responsible for Asset Management in Elia. In 2016, he helped to oversee the launch of the AMEX (Asset Management Excellence) program in order to face the future challenges.

Wim holds a Masters in Electrical and Nuclear Engineering from the University of Louvain (Belgium).
